As a parent, you hear “it takes a village,” but actually participating, especially at your child’s school, is not always easy. This project started with a simple question. What if we used video game mechanics to encourage parent engagement?

PIMS Points turns school participation into a reward-based system where parents earn points for involvement and redeem them for real-world rewards. Originally launched in New Orleans, it is now used in schools across Georgia, Maryland, and Texas.
